The Simpsons 400th episode and season finale is coming up this Sunday, May 20th. To conclude their 18th Season, the episode will be cenetered around 24. It shall be called "24 minutes" and Kiefer Sutherland and Mary Lynn Rajskub will be playing Jack Bauer and Chloe O'Brian. CTU will be located inside Springfield Elementary School, but instead it will be called "Counter Truancy Unit." Hope you tune in, because the next night, May 21st will be the two-hour season finale of 24. Yes this season of 24 has sucked, but watch anyways because the producers have promised something huge and plus they are going to be changing 24 alot for next season, so these last two episodes will be setting it up.

Hugh Grant, who is notable for starring in such chick-flicks as Notting Hill and Mickey Blue Eyes has recently been arrested for assaulting paparazzi Tuesday morning. The assault consisted of a thorough kicking of a reporter and the hurling of baked beans(presumably leftovers because of the tupperware container). Photographer Ian Whitaker was snapping shots in Chelsea primarily of Grant's ex-girlfriend, Liz Hurley, whom lives on the same street. Later that morning he found the actor going to his car when he asked Grant to 'give us a smile.' At that, the actor began his enraged (and awesome!) attack upon the unsuspecting paparazzi.

So what does this clash with paparazzi tell us about Grant. It proves that he is cooler than we previously thought- mostly because out of all the things he could've chosen to throw, he picked baked beans! To gage just how cool he currently is, I have scientifically produced a rating system.

Examine:

This system is based on a ratings scale from 1(not cool) to 10(super awesome).

Hugh Grant:

-starred in box office chick flicks: -1

-dated Liz Hurly: + 9

-arrested for soliciting prostitue Divine Brown: -7

-Divine Brown may have been a man: -10

-assaulted photographer with baked beans: +10

That puts Hugh Grant at a score of 1, being uncool. However, if he continues to throw more baked beans on rampages, he could easily score a 10 one day.

VOA Review

The seveneth book and final installment in the Harry Potter series has been titled. JK Rowling revealed the title to be Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. Rowling also revealed that two characters will die. Fans on the net are already speculating as to what 'the deathly hollows' could be. A publication date has not yet been released.

Go see Blood Diamond. This movie is one of the best movies of the year. Director Edward Zwick (Last Samurai) was able to equal the emotional and dramatic scenes from Hotel Rwanda, but also take it two steps further. Not only do viewers/Americans feel bad about what they are watching, but they almost feel at fault. According to the movie, the US buys 2/3 of all the "conflict" diamonds in the world. Although the most dangerous times in Sierra Leone occured in the late 90's, things like this are still happening today, and not only with diamonds, but every other natural resource Africa has possession of. Recently, diamond king Russell Simmons took a tour of Botswana and South Africa and said,

"They're smart business people ... I'm not here to defend the past of these companies. I'm here to talk about the current reality. Diamonds pay for education and medical treatment in Africa."

After these comments Zwick said,

"If you want to know about conflict diamonds, you don't go to Botswana and South Africa. You go to Sierra Leone and Angola. … Russell Simmons is being embarrassed."

I cannot express how happy I am to report to you that 24 won Best Drama Series, Best Actor, and various other awards at the 2006 Emmy Awards Sunday night. Finally, 24 is being recognized as the Best show on television, and I couldn't be happier. It won 5 total awards: Single Camera editing, Musical Composition, Directing in a Drama Series, Actor in a Drama Series, and Best Drama Series. This was Kiefer Sutherland's first win in five tries, and the show's first Emmy award for Best Drama in five years. 24 will be entering its 6th Season in January, when Jack Bauer will not only be trying to save the world, but also his own skin. So I am thrilled to say, I TOLD YOU SO BITCHES.
